About the Hospital
Shanghai United Family Hospital, opened on December 1, 2004 and JCI-accredited since 2008, is Shanghai's premier international private hospital and one of only two private hospitals in China operating both a Da Vinci robotic surgical system and a MAKO robotic orthopaedic platform.
The hospital maintains over 110 inpatient beds and a medical team of more than 200 doctors and 300 nurses drawn from over 20 countries, delivering bilingual Chinese-English care across 22 departments to patients from 90-plus diplomatic missions and Fortune 500 companies in Shanghai.
Having completed five consecutive JCI accreditation cycles, it offers direct billing to more than 40 global insurers and provides maternal-fetal medicine, oncology, paediatrics, and emergency services to the city's international community and medical tourists alike.
