About the Hospital

Beijing United Family Hospital, founded in 1997 by Roberta Lipson as China's first foreign-invested private hospital, pioneered the model of Western-standard bilingual care in mainland China and remains the flagship of the country's only multi-city JCI-accredited private healthcare network.

In 2005, it became the first integrated health system in Asia to receive Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation — a status it has maintained through six consecutive re-accreditation cycles.

The Beijing campus spans approximately 160,000 square metres with over 400 beds, more than 200 full-time senior physicians drawn from over 15 countries, and annual outpatient volume exceeding one million visits, of which nearly 100,000 are international patients.
