About the Hospital
Beijing Children's Hospital (BCH), founded in 1942 by Professor Zhu Futang — the father of modern Chinese pediatrics — is China's designated National Children's Medical Center and the country's top-ranked pediatric hospital, having held the #1 position in the National Rankings for pediatrics for multiple consecutive years.
With 970 registered beds, BCH sees approximately 3 million outpatient visits, 80,000 inpatient admissions, and performs more than 26,000 surgeries annually, covering all pediatric subspecialties.
All three academicians in China's entire pediatric community have been affiliated with BCH, and the hospital holds five national key clinical specialty construction projects including pediatric critical care, pediatric respiratory medicine, and pediatric surgery. In 2013, BCH pioneered China's innovative group care model expanding expert care to children across multiple provinces, and the hospital reports leukemia cure rates exceeding 80% for ALL and over 90% for APL.

ECMO — Pediatric Specialist Center (Patients from 700g)

ECMO — Pediatric Specialist Center (Patients from 700g)
China's leading pediatric ECMO program has supported patients as small as 700 grams and as young as neonates. ECMO provides external cardiac and pulmonary support for post-operative congenital heart surgery recovery, fulminant myocarditis, and respiratory failure — the lifeline during bridge-to-recovery or bridge-to-transplant when all other options have failed.
CAR-T Cell Therapy — Pediatric Leukemia (300 patients/year)

CAR-T Cell Therapy — Pediatric Leukemia (300 patients/year)
China's most active pediatric CAR-T program treats approximately 300 children with leukemia annually. Childhood ALL cure rates exceed 80% and APL reaches 95%. Combines CAR-T infusion with haploidentical SCT, MRD monitoring by flow cytometry, and NGS clonal tracking — offering curative options for relapsed/refractory childhood leukemia unavailable in most countries.
Pediatric Congenital Heart Surgery Suite (>98% Success Rate)
Pediatric Congenital Heart Surgery Suite (>98% Success Rate)
Beijing's designated Pediatric Congenital Heart Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center achieves over 98% overall CHD surgical success and over 90% for complex malformations.
